Bernward Leineweber and his wife Mary opened their ready-to-wear clothing store in 1888 in Berlin, Germany. Then in 1950, Leineweber birthed German trousers brand BRAX. Originally the first brand in Germany to add a zipper closure to bottoms in 1960, they continue to invent with their remarkably versatile, stretchy, and durable pants with all in-house fabric that is created and weaved themselves.

October 31st, 1923 was the day Mario Colombo and his wife, Irma, founded Manifattura Mario Colombo & C in Monza, Italy. As they began to manufacture clothes, they created the Italian brand Colmar with the name being a combination of his first and last name (COLombo MARio). After his sons took over, they grew in popularity as Colmar dug its roots into skiing, creating functional clothes for Olympic athletes. Today, the family's third generation runs the brand, continuing their work within Winter sports and conveying pieces of their history in the lifestyle clothes they offer.
